About Maharashtra Board SSC Result 2017

Maharashtra School Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education is expected to release Maharashtra SSC Result 2017 sometime during the first week of June. Over 18 lakh students appeared in SSC Examinations 2017.

Introduction

Maharashtra Board is yet to announce a date for Maharashtra SSC Result 2017. The tentative date for the result announcement is 5th June. Maharashtra School Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education is the state education board of Maharashtra responsible for managing and directing secondary and senior secondary education system in the state. The state education board is popularly known as MSBSHSE or Maha Board. It conducted SSC 2017 examinations during the months of March and April.

In 2016, Maha Board announced SSC results on 6th June. The examinations commenced from 18th February and concluded on the 28th day of March. Maharashtra Board SSC examinations were conducted over the period of 3rd March to 26th March in 2015. MSBSHSE SSC Result 2015 was announced on 8th June.

Around 14.3 lakh students out of the total 16.5 lakh students cleared the MSBSHSE SSC examinations in 2014. The SSC 2014 examinations commenced on 3rd March and concluded on 27th March, followed by the result on 17th June.

Steps to Check Maharashtra Board SSC 2017 Result

Maharashtra Board has not made an official announcement regarding Maharashtra SSC Result 2017 date. However, it is expected to come out in the first half of June. The result will be available via both offline and online modes. Candidates can visit the official results Website of Maharashtra School Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education for checking their SSC 2017 results. Once MSBSHSE announces the results, it will be uploaded on the official Maha Board results Website as well as on other exam results Websites.

Maharashtra School Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, popularly known as MSBSHSE or Maha Board, is the autonomous state education board responsible for managing secondary and higher secondary education system in the state of Maharashtra. In addition to devising, prescribing, and revising syllabus for secondary and higher secondary education in the state, the board conducts examinations in secondary and higher secondary schools affiliated with MSBSHSE as well. The board follows the Indian government’s INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) scholarship programme to award studious students in the state.

The state government of Maharashtra monitors the Maharashtra School Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education. Maha Board provides affiliation to schools applying for MSBSHSE affiliation. Maharashtra School Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education formed under the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965, which was later amended in 1977.

Maharashtra School Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education is divided into 9 sub-divisional boards to facilitate the working of the education board. All the sub-divisional boards operate as per the instructions of the state education board. The nine sub-divisions are Amravati, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Latur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Pune, and Ratnagiri.

MSBSHSE has its headquarters in Pune.

The state education board follows Shahu Maharaj and INSPIRE scholarship programmes for awarding candidates excelling in academics.

Known by the name eMarksheet, MSBSHSE provides an online mode to students for verifying certificate and marks.

The state education board administers and manages over 7,000 HSC and 21,000 SSC schools in the state of Maharashtra.

The state education board has two official languages, English and Marathi.

Maharashtra Education Board Previous Year Results – Key Highlights

Over 21 lakh students appeared in Maharashtra Board class 10th examinations in 2016. The percentage of the total number of students clearing the SSC examinations was about 93% last year. In 2015, the percentage was above 90%. Students passing percentage in Maharashtra SSC Result 2017 is expected to be well above 90%. Maharashtra SSC Result 2017 is to be announced stream-wise. Science results will be announced first and then commerce results, followed by the Arts results.
