About Andhra Board:
Andhra Board or BIEAP supervises and regulates the intermediate educational system in Andhra Pradesh. The state was the first one in India to have adopted the 10+2+3 educational pattern. The board governs several activities for all the secondary education institutes that come under its jurisdiction. These activities include conducting examinations and directing the process of exam conduction, dividing courses of subjects, offering leadership, and prescribing the syllabus for an academic year. Andhra Board has the responsibility of conducting the Intermediate examinations and declaring the AP Inter 2nd year vocational result, along with the Inter 1st year vocational result.
The Intermediate education system under Andhra Board refers to the +2 level of education. While the students in Inter 1st year are 11th class students, those in Inter 2nd year are 12th class students. The system offers general courses, along with vocational courses. However, vocational courses can help candidates in gaining specialised knowledge, which may lead to employment. The board usually conducts examinations for these courses in the month of March/April and declares the Inter 1st year vocational and AP Inter 2nd year vocational result in May. In the present year 2017, the Inter 2nd year exams were conducted between March 2nd and March 18th.
